Dr. Adams is a pediatric neuropsychiatrist drawn to the intersection between neurology and psychiatry. His specialties include treatment-resistant depression as well as TMS, ECT and esketamine treatment in patients of all ages. Dr. Adams also treats children, adolescents and adults with comorbid neurological and psychiatric illnesses, as well as conversion disorders. Dr. Bess is a highly regarded teacher and psychiatrist. Dr. Bess has authored several papers and is co-author of the Manual of Inpatient Psychiatry, now in its second edition. He has held leadership positions, including serving as President of the Washington State Psychiatric Association from 2019-2020. Rebecca Allen

Dr. Allen has authored several papers and participated in research on sleep and memory consolidation, quality of life in multiple sclerosis, comparing TMS protocols and other projects. She authored a chapter on Sleep and Sleep Disorders for the Harvard textbook Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Neurology: Principles and Practice (2020). She is trained in the neurobiological bases and treatment of cognitive and behavioral manifestations of neurodegenerative diseases (dementia), multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, stroke, brain tumors, developmental disorders, traumatic brain injury and other disorders. Dr. Allen’s current focus is on brain stimulation and interventional treatments for neuropsychiatric conditions, including transcranial magnetic stimulation, electroconvulsive therapy, vagus nerve stimulation, ketamine, and esketamine. As our Director of Research she also oversees clinical trials of novel therapies. Before joining SeattleNTC, Dr. Brown was on the faculty at UT – Dell Medical School in Austin, TX, where she was an Assistant Professor, providing inpatient care, as well as ECT services. Dr. Brown finds neurostimulation to be one of the most rewarding aspects of what she does and is passionate about ECT as an option in treatment-resistant depression (and other conditions). Dr. Nam leads SeattleNTC’s esketamine program. He is especially interested in helping patients who benefit from collaboration with both neurology and neuropsychology. While working at the University of Iowa he gained experience with ketamine and esketamine through the NMDA transmission research, the esketamine clinical trials and ketamine anesthesia for ECT. Dr. Borisovskaya is an adult and geriatric psychiatrist who has always been particularly drawn to providing care for severe mental illness, particularly in patients who are older or medically ill. Her specialties include treatment-resistant depression as well as TMS, ECT, and ketamine treatment, and she also has a strong background in academics, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. She has published extensively on ECT, management of geriatric psychiatry and depression, conversion disorder, and nonpharmacological treatment of chronic pain. Dr. Christina Hughes is the Medical Director for the Kitsap and Tacoma division of Seattle Neuropsychiatric Treatment Center (SeattleNTC-Kitsap and SeattleNTC-Tacoma). The clinics located in Poulsbo, WA and Tacoma, WA currently offer TMS and Spravato (esketamine) treatments. Dr. Hughes specializes in neuro-rehabilitation as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician, with fellowship training in Multiple Sclerosis. Leadership roles have included faculty appointment at the University of Washington, Director of the MS Regional Program at the VA, and Medical Director for the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at EvergreenHealth.
