I am a certified Family Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I got my nursing degree from Boise State, Masters of Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Case Western Reserve University and a Postmasters Degree as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from State University of New York at Stonybrook. I have worked in the mental health field in Boise for the last 20 years. I worked at several different agencies before opening Integrity Mental Health in 2018. Over the last 20 years I have seen all ages and diagnoses. I have spent the majority of that time seeing chronically mentally ill patients and children with mental health issues. At this time in my career I am wanting to focus more of my time and energy on seeing children and families. I have spent many years working with children who are on the autism spectrum and they have a special place in my heart.
I have been a Medical Assistant for 6 years. I'm originally from Wyoming, but I moved to Pocatello as a teenager. I married my husband over 30 years ago, and we eventually moved to the Treasure Valley in 1999 to raise our family together. I love spending time with my family (my husband, daughter, son, daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters), cooking, riding four wheelers, and spoiling my two dogs.
Everyone needs help at some point in their journey. The help I offer comes in the form of medication management paired with brief therapy interventions. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I graduated with my master’s degree in 2021 and am excited to work in my local community. I am a native Idahoan, born and raised in the state, with more than 17 years of nursing experience working in the community. My philosophy in nursing and psychiatry is to meet you where you are in your mental health journey and try to understand what brought you to where you are. I want to work with you and help you meet your mental health goals so you can live your best life. My goal is to use evidence-based and best practice to guide treatment and decision to support you and your own personal aspirations. By providing a safe and judgment free environment, you can start to grow and become your best you.
I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a doctoral degree from Idaho State University. I have been in the nursing field for 25 years with a focus in mental health and community nursing. I have a passion for helping those with mental health needs and strive to provide patient centered care. I work with a variety of clients ages 8-40 and have a special love of caring for teens and young adults. I enjoy helping clients and their families through utilizing a holistic approach. I believe in treating the whole person by incorporating positive lifestyle changes, brief therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based medications.
We provide a difference through a holistic approach used by providers who have sub-specialized in the field they are most passionate about. We promise to be lifelong learners so that you are always getting the highest level of care. We combine medical interventions with psychotherapy, alternative therapies, coordinated care management, and the most advanced technologies. By taking the time to listen, educate, and investigate every treatment option, our patients are empowered to make decisions. This ultimately leads to higher levels of satisfaction and confidence in their team of providers. If you feel we fall short of this, we give you the opportunity to give us feedback so that we can make necessary changes as an organization and as a mental health professional.
