Dr. Chen is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician. She completed her pain management fellowship at the University of Washington, Seattle, and her anesthesia residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Ohio. Prior to this, she graduated from the Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences in Jilin, China, with a medical degree. Additionally, she holds a PhD degree in stem cell therapy from Queen’s University, UK, and has completed post-doctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Working as a pain physician, Dr Chen has experienced difficulties when treating complicated chronic pain conditions. As an anesthesiologist, she is well-versed in the anesthetic properties of ketamine. Equipped with knowledge from both fields, she is able to integrate low dose ketamine infusion into her practice. She has witnessed the remarkable benefit in treating Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, intractable Migraines as well as concurrent mental health problems.
