My name is Andrea, and I am a registered nurse at TRU Wellness Center. I attended The College of St. Scholastica for my Bachelor of Science degree in nursing with a minor in women and gender studies. I returned to The College of St. Scholastica in 2020 to pursue a doctoral degree in hopes of eventually becoming a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (graduating in 2023). My career experience includes working in inpatient mental health, inpatient eating disorder treatment, and electroconvulsive therapy. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my miniature Australian Shepherd, Barkley. I am very passionate about mental health, and I am excited to be a part of your journey at TRU Wellness Center. I look forward to meeting you soon!
My name is Deb, and I am a psychiatric physician’s assistant. I started my career as a psychotherapist 20 years ago, with a focus on treating clients with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and learning disabilities. I also provided behavioral medicine consults to clients in the hospital and emergency department. As I began building a practice of assessing clients with long-term illness, spina bifida, sickle cell, ALS, and anoxic brain injuries, I became very interested in the physiologic pathways of the brain and the body. My passion for physiologic science led me to a career as a physician assistant. As a psychiatric physician assistant, I have extensive experience with trauma, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine. My desire for continuous learning, with an emphasis on the relationship between the brain and the body, earned me a doctorate in health sciences. My primary role at TRU Wellness Center is to perform a diagnostic assessment on clients who are interested in ketamine infusions. As the practice grows, my client services will grow as well. I look forward to meeting you soon!
