Steve Gittelman is a nationally board board Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist with 42 years of healthcare experience. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in psychology from the University of New Mexico in 1980. He then graduated with honors with a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2001. Along with his work at Rocky Mountain Mind and Body, he also served as the Anesthesia Director for a not-for-profit critical access hospital from 2014 to 2022. Steve’s healthcare career encompassed working at several Denver hospitals including The Children’s Hospital pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and Presbyterian/St.Lukes ICU and ER. Steve also gained valuable independent experience during his 5 year career as a flight nurse for Air Life of Denver. His clinical anesthesia expertise encompasses pediatric, cardiovascular, neurosurgical, obstetrical, regional, and general anesthesia in practice settings that span Level 1 trauma centers in major metropolitan areas, rural critical access hospitals, large regional hospitals, out-patient, to office based settings. His clinical experience exceeds 84,000 hours of patient care.
