Matthew Sharpe is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with 20 years experience working in the mental health field. He graduated from SUNY Geneseo with an undergraduate degree in psychology and went on to complete his bachelor’s in nursing and a master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing at the University of Rochester. He is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Certification Center. He has worked in a variety of settings including the psychiatric emergency department, inpatient psychiatric units (both child and adolescent and adult units), an outpatient chemical dependency program, and several community mental health centers.
