Dr. Carl J. Bonnett is the founder and Chief Medical Doctor at Klarisana. As a twenty-year veteran of the Army National Guard, Carl saw ketamine therapy as a valuable way to help others in mental and physical distress. His vision of love and compassion gave shape and form to Klarisana, one of the country’s first-ever ketamine clinics, whose purpose is to serve all people who struggle with mental illness and chronic pain regardless of their background or any other discriminating factor.
My name is Holly Thrailkill, and I have had the greatest reward of working with Klarisana since 2020. I am a nurse practitioner and clinical manager for Klarisana Texas, working primarily out of the Austin clinic. I have been a nurse for 20 years–15 of which were served in numerous acute care hospital specialties. I have had a passion for mental health my entire life, my mother being a psychiatric nurse and my grandmother being an ICU nurse caring for and comforting those in the greatest of challenges. I also have a passion for functional medicine, having run my own concierge practice in my hometown of Houston, just prior to moving to Austin. I strive to give patients white-glove service when in my care, always an ear to listen and hand to hold. I love music, playing drums since the age of 13, playing in several successful bands throughout my life. My husband and I continue to enjoy playing music, spending time with our charismatic dog “Gone Girl” and cat “Keyboard”. I recently picked up crochet and it has been a great hobby to clear the mind.
As an LCSW-S, I specialize in working with complex trauma, dissociation, and psychedelic-assisted therapy and integration. I work from a social justice lens and have an understanding of issues related to racism, xenophobia, classism, heterosexism, transphobia, religious prejudice, ageism, ableism, and fatphobia. With over ten years of rich experience as a behavioral health provider, I am deeply passionate about guiding individuals through the intricate landscapes of mental well-being, trauma recovery, relationship dynamics, and sexual health. My approach to therapy is deeply influenced by my own journey as a military/combat veteran, providing me with a unique lens of empathy and understanding, particularly for others who have served and their family members. I’ve earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a specialized Master of Education (MEd) in Human Sexuality. Currently, on the path to obtaining a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality, I bring specialized insight into the intricacies of interpersonal relationships and the diverse spectrum of sexual functioning. This includes a respectful and informed approach to kink/BDSM, those navigating consensual non-monogamy. This unique perspective also enhances my commitment to serving the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring a space where all facets of your identity are respected and acknowledged. I use a trauma-informed approach, which ensures that every aspect of our work together is conducted through a lens of empathy and respect for your past experiences, creating a foundation that prioritizes your emotional and psychological safety as we navigate your healing journey. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and trained in other attachment and somatic-based therapies. These qualifications are pillars that enable a more holistic approach to treatment, allowing me to blend a spectrum of evidence-based techniques tailored thoughtfully to resonate with each client’s unique experiences. At the heart of my practice lies a bedrock of compassion and non-judgment. I strive to create a sanctuary where clients feel seen and supported, empowering them to confidently embark on their healing journey.
