Bakhtiar Shah, MD is Board Certified by American Board of Anesthesiology both in Anesthesiology and Pain Management, and brings with him a wealth of broad experience in providing care to the patients on both sides of the Atlantic. He completed his anesthesiology residency from State University of New York in Buffalo, New York and subsequently an A.C.G.M.E. accredited Pain Management Fellowship from University of Rochester, New York. He did his initial anesthesiology training in Great Britain and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Anesthetists of Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. He has practiced in both hospital and office settings in Arkansas, New York and in office settings in Texas . Dr. Shah is a humane, patient centric, quality physician who has a philosophy of taking care of his patients like his family. Dr. Shah is a member of the Texas Pain Society, Texas Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiology, American Society of Ketamine Physicians, and Fort Bend Medical Society, Houston, Texas. He has varied interests outside medicine, including sports, traveling, reading, and in recent years has developed a keen interest in golf.
