I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho. I received my M.A. in Counseling from Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, and I have had a counseling practice with my wife, Ashlie since 2002. I have journeyed with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, addictions, grief, chronic illness, divorce, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, working mostly with adults. I use EMDR therapy to help people work through their hardest experiences, so they can live more rewarding lives. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. Experiencing trauma can block the brain’s natural way of recovering from distressing events. EMDR therapy is designed to reactivate this natural healing process through alternating eye movements, sounds, or taps. I have seen how amazing EMDR is for my clients! Watching their healing process with EMDR has made me more confident that I can help future clients with their pain. Ketamine Assisted Therapy is another powerful intervention in the treatment of trauma and depression. I recently received training and certification in this field during an intensive year-long program through Integrative Psychiatry Institute. Inquire if you are interested in learning more.

We consider it a privilege to listen and provide guidance to each person with whom we sit, inclusive and accepting of all backgrounds, belief systems, and identities. We do not have a prescriptive style of counseling, but rather tailor our treatment to meet the needs and goals of each individual.
