Justin was raised in Connecticut and relocated to the Central Coast in 2008. He earned his Bachelor's degree in anthropology from Pomona College, followed by a Master's degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (now known as Sofia University). He obtained his license as a psychologist in 2011. In his work within psychedelic-assisted therapy, Justin brings a unique blend of perspectives. During his undergraduate years, he initiated the study of medical practices in indigenous cultures, many of which involved the use of psychedelic plants. After a period of applied anthropology through organizational consulting, he pursued his graduate studies at an institution co-founded by Dr. James Fadiman, a leading authority on the transformative potential of psychedelics. Before establishing his private practice, Justin worked with adults in various mental health settings.
