My career of healing started in the medical field working as an ICU/ER nurse for 13 years. I became burned out mentally and made the decision to seek a different career that would bring me joy. I dabbled in several things that I thought might bring me happiness but was always left feeling like I was incomplete. I became a stay-at-home husband supporting my wife through her career and during this time I began to investigate my spirituality and self-healing. I started exploring modalities of healing from mediation, yoga, breathwork, and plant medicines to name a few. These modalities helped me find profound healing in myself that I was completely unaware that I even needed. My anger disappeared, my fears faded away, depression (that I hadn’t even admitted to myself) vanished, and traumas that had been completely repressed came to the surface and enabled me to find healing and peace. This healing redefined who I am as a person and how I interact with everyone around me.
From the time I was a child I have been searching for ways to create harmony and peace within myself and others. This search led me to the medical field to help people heal. I did my premedical training at the University of Colorado and received my medical degree from the University of Arizona. Upon completing my Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Indianapolis, I spent the last 15 years extensively practicing Emergency Medicine in Arizona at Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. This included a five-year stint as the medical director for my group. This career has allowed me to witness the full spectrum of the human experience. I have helped victims, perpetrators, the old, the young, and all walks of life. This profession has been very rewarding and has taught me much about myself and the people I cared for.
I have been an ER nurse for 14 Years. I have navigated a wide spectrum of experiences from loss of life to complete healing. During my time as a nurse, I have experienced energy but hadn’t known how to funnel it in a way that was “acceptable“ until years ago I found Bars and Reiki where I learned how to harness those feelings I felt. I was able to do the training and marry the two practices of allopathic and energetic medicine. In my 14 years of ER nursing I also had a lot of interactions with patients who were dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, suicidal ideation, substance addiction/abuse and just knew there was a better space for these patients to receive support. I found that KAP (Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy) has had significant research done and shows improvement in symptoms for this patient base. I was able to do training and received my certificate as a KAP practitioner to help hold space and integrate patients using this therapy.
Hi! I'm Lena. I am a RN, Breathwork Facilitator, and Transformational Coach. I am passionately devoted to empowering and supporting people in the reclamation of their health and sovereignty in Mind + Body + Spirit. I am a weaver of science and sacred, bridging the wisdom of both worlds into a holistic approach to healing. My background as an ER and Hospice nurse, along with my own healing work through entheogenic medicines, has uniquely contributed to my ability to hold space in the darkest, scariest, most vulnerable places, while embodying compassion, nonjudgement, radical unconditional love, and unwavering steadiness. Amidst a life-changing spiritual awakening in 2018, I experienced a deep soul remembering that my purpose here is to hold radically safe space in profoundly transformative containers where aspects of you may die so you can be reborn into more of who you came here to be. I believe that your healing is my healing, and when we heal ourselves, we heal the world.
