Meaghan Bindokas

Hello! My name is Meaghan Bindokas, and I am a tech at Imagine Healthcare. I earned my paramedic license through Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, and spent the first part of my career in Chicagoland on an ambulance providing emergency care. After getting married, I was looking to transition into something with more "normal" hours so I could spend more time with family (especially my dog, Finnegan!). My search led me into the field of mental health and thanks to a "right place at the right time" situation, I met and got to work closely with Rachel and Chrissa, never looking back! Four years later and I am still working exclusively with ketamine for mental health and chronic pain patients. I have gotten the opportunity to see Imagine Healthcare be built from the ground up, keeping patients the top priority throughout. This truly is a dream clinic, and a model that doesn't exist anywhere else. I'm so proud to be a part of team Imagine, and I'm proud of YOU because if you're read

Heather Costello
,
MD

Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Dr. Heather Costello. I am a long-time friend and colleague of Dr. Rachel Norris. Like Dr. Norris, I am double board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine and completed my training at Northwestern University and University of Chicago respectively. After many years in the emergency department and working in hospice, I am now also working for Imagine Healthcare because this clinic offers an incredible path to healing not found elsewhere in medicine. I am humbled to be a part of such a wonderful offering to those who are suffering. My personal healing interests are rooted in mindfulness, yoga, exercise, and Buddhism. I am currently certifying to teach in both meditation and yoga. Obviously, if you are reading this, then you are either a ketamine client or you are interested in what ketamine therapy has to offer. Congratulations on seeking care and healing. You have come to the right place.

Dave Evans
,
LCPC

Hi, I’m Dave Evans. I am a therapist and avid student of human nature and relationships. I’ve been working in mental health and human services since 1980 (that probably makes it sound like I’m pretty old, but because of my immaturity, that math all works out pretty well!) I’ve worked with families, couples, and adults of all ages, in psychiatric hospitals, community agencies, clinics, as well as in private practice settings. I have had extensive training in mindfulness approaches, systems and couples therapy, and especially enjoy working with those affected by trauma and disrupted attachment. I’m especially grateful and excited to be with Imagine Healthcare. In therapy practice, I like to focus on ways people can seek and facilitate their own healing through mindful living, self-discovery, and developing deep levels of self acceptance and love.

William Farrand
,
LCPC

Hello everyone! I’m Bill Farrand and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and one of the therapists working with our patients here at Imagine Healthcare. I specialize in anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorders and have been extremely encouraged by the renewal of interest in psychedelics for therapeutic use for mental health conditions. I find this area exciting--not because medications such as ketamine can replace standard therapy and treatment--but rather they have the potential to move clients past a “stuck” point that they might otherwise be unable to overcome, subsequently allowing them to work with clarity and intention on the issues and create the change and healing they are seeking. I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University and worked in community mental health until starting my private practice in Lakeview in 2015.

Chrissa Flannery
,
RN

Hello. My name is Chrissa. I am the manager at Imagine Healthcare. I graduated from University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education and Administration. I then followed my dream to become a nurse and graduated from Moraine Valley. I started working in the emergency room directly out of school and loved every year. I have been lucky enough to work with and build a friendship with Rachel since our emergency room days. My career evolved as life continued. I married Sean and we moved back south to be close to our families. We have two beautiful twin girls who are 6 years old already! I pursued the opportunity to open an urgent care with one of my most influential mentors and dear friends. I loved shaping the practice to deliver the best possible care to patients. One opportunity led to another and now here I am.

Rachel Norris
,
MD

Welcome! I am Dr. Rachel Norris, founder of Imagine Healthcare. We are so happy you have found us and hope we can help you on your journey to better health. I started my medical career a bit later in life. My college days were spent as a student-athlete at UCLA, playing volleyball and studying art history. After college, I pursued a career in art restoration and conservation, interning at several museums in Los Angeles. A trip to Cuba in 1995 changed the course of my life. I no longer dreamed of restoring art. I wanted to restore people. I pursued the required coursework to apply to medical school and completed a second bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from UCSB. The next step was a master’s in Bioethics at Case Western in my mom’s hometown of Cleveland before starting medical school at thirty.

Erika Steinbrenner
,
MD

Welcome to Imagine! I’m Dr. Steinbrenner, a board certified Psychiatrist with specialized fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry. In addition to traditional medical education, I trained in ketamine-assisted therapy as well as psilocybin-assisted therapy in Jamaica. I believe wholeheartedly that we are at the dawn of a transformative and exciting era of development in the field of mental health. Research is revealing a deeper understanding of the nature of the mind, as well as the importance of addressing maladaptive brain connections rather than just chemicals. My treatment philosophy is based on the understanding that true healing is a gradual process encompassing multiple elements (including mind, body, and spirit), not just a narrow focus on symptoms.
