Dr. Prashad is a board certified psychiatrist and is the founder and medical director of Houston Ketamine Therapeutics. Houston Ketamine Therapeutics was formed in 2016 and Dr. Prashad has personally administered over 2000 IV ketamine treatments and over 1000 intranasal esketamine (Spravato) treatments. Dr. Prashad completed both medical school and residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During her residency training, she served as the administrative chief resident as well as the chief resident of the Baylor Psychiatry Clinic. She has a special interest in treating depression and bipolar disorder as well as psychiatric illnesses in pregnant and postpartum women. During her residency training, she focused on evaluating and treating treatment resistant mood disorders at the Baylor Mood Disorders Center. Dr. Prashad has been in private practice in the Houston area since 2011.
We offer both IV ketamine and intranasal FDA approved, insurance covered nasal esketamine (Spravato.) Dr. Prashad understands the importance of creating unique treatment plans for each patient including combining ketamine with oral medications or Brainsway’s deep TMS in order to maximize results. In addition, each infusion is specifically tailored to each patient. There is no pre-determined set time limit or dosage; we customize each treatment. Dr. Prashad has extensive experience with using ketamine and is one of the most experienced ketamine psychiatrists in the country.
