She was a dedicated preceptor and educator and enjoyed sharing her vast knowledge of emergency medicine with new nurses to the field. She is an expert in phlebotomy and intravenous access. Her newest passion has become the treatment of chronic pain. She has dedicated her time to continuing education to develop a multimodal approach to pain management. Over the past five years, I have sought out training in a variety of innovative treatment approaches. In 2009, I completed training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy which focuses on using the body’s wisdom to release stored negative emotions. I became an EMDR practitioner in 2010, a world-renowned brief treatment for trauma that has helped me reach many children, teenagers and adults. In 20 More recently I have explored David Grand’s Brainspotting, a powerful therapy that allows rapid yet gentle access to negative memories and emotions. As of 2013, I am Level 1 and Level 2 trained. I find Internal Family Systems (IFS) a effective therapy which focuses on integrating our inner selves for emotional harmony. As of 2022, I am Level , 2, and 3 trained. I continue to learn about how abuse and trauma affect the body, heart, and mind. I completed my certificate in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy in 2022 and now getting my certificate in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy.
