Dr. Marks graduated with high honors from The University of Texas at Austin. From the moment he left Austin, he couldn’t wait to get back. After completing his medical school training at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, he spent two years in a General Surgery residency. The next three year residency was in Anesthesiology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Marks rounded out his formal medical training with a one-year Pain Management fellowship at the prestigious International Pain Center at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, one of the top Pain Management fellowships in the country. There, he was trained by the internationally renowned Dr. Gabor Racz and Dr. Miles Day. He’s now board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. Prior to practicing in Austin, Dr. Marks was an Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. There he enjoyed teaching residents and medical students the fundamentals of Anesthesiology and Pain Management. Today, Dr. Marks also dedicates time to presenting at national and international meetings including the Texas Pain Society, International Anesthesia Research Society, American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Gulf Atlantic Anesthesia Residency Research Conference. He continues to give guest lectures at outside institutions and is a two-time recipient of the University Medical Center Safe Surgeon Award.As proud native Texans, Longhorns and childhood sweethearts, Dr. Marks and his wife, Amanda, have followed their long-time dream of moving back to Austin. When not treating patients, he enjoys spending with his three children, skiing, chess, reading books about quantum physics and playing the piano.
Dr. Rafii is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. His academic journey started with a combined six-year Bachelor of Science (BS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) program through Kent State University and the Northeast Ohio Medical University. He then went on to complete his residency in anesthesiology at New York University, which is consistently ranked by US News and World Report as one of the top hospitals in the nation. Next came a Pain Medicine fellowship at New York University’s Center for the Study and Treatment of Pain, a program the American Pain Society has awarded its coveted Center of Excellence designation. Today, Dr. Rafii is a member of the Spine Intervention Society (SIS) and the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). His interests within the field of Pain Medicine include interventional spine procedures, neuromodulation and the benefits of mindfulness-based meditation in the reduction of chronic pain. He is a firm believer that chronic pain management requires a multidisciplinary approach. Most importantly, Dr. Rafii believes in improving function and quality of life while making a positive impact on each patient he encounters. In his spare time, Dr. Rafii enjoys being outdoors, playing soccer and watching Ohio State football. Go Buckeyes!
Dr. Gburek was born in Buffalo, NY but spent his elementary school years as a Bee Cave Bobcat in the Austin suburbs. The remainder of his childhood was a tour of the Midwest: Minnesota, Illinois and Michigan. But he never forgot those mild Austin winters In his higher education years, Dr. Gburek combined a Bachelor of Science (BS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Medical Scholars Program at Michigan State University. He completed a residency in Anesthesiology at Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), in Chicago, Illinois, with a Fellowship in Chronic Pain Medicine. Professionally, Dr. Gburek is highly trained in neurostimulation, an option for patients to control their chronic pain when the root cause cannot be removed or repaired. He also specializes in ultrasound and fluoroscopically guided injections, but that’s only part of his wheelhouse. Taking a holistic approach to pain management, Dr. Gburek also welcomes discussion around spirituality, as well as mental and emotional health with those who desire. Ultimately, he wants to utilize his skills to empower his patients to focus on the people and things they care about, not their pain. In his free time, he likes to participate in water sports, play golf, and travel with his friends and family.
Charlotte Loflin MSN, NP-C has served as a dedicated nurse since 2007. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from University of Texas at Arlington with honors and her Masters in Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner as well as a Masters of Science in Nursing from Kaplan University, also with honors. Charlotte has extensive critical care experience and spent the majority of her nursing career in the hospital setting. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and an active member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine. She’s made Pain Management and helping patients find relief her focus since 2013. Prior to her Austin move she was the Operating Room Director for two interventional pain management surgery centers. It was her time there that really solidified her passion helping chronic pain patients get the care and comfort they need. She spends her free time with her husband, daughter and three dachshunds.
Olivia Hubbard is a dedicated and compassionate nurse practitioner with a passion for improving the lives of her patients. She has been a valued member of the nursing profession since 2014 when she graduated with honors from Lamar University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her strong academic performance in her undergraduate studies earned her honors recognition. After completing her BSN, Olivia decided to continue her education and further her nursing career by earning her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch. Her dedication to her studies earned her the recognition of honors in her graduate program as well. Olivia is a certified nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She has an extensive background in emergency medicine, women’s health, and primary care, which has given her a broad range of knowledge and experience. However, her true passion is pain management. She has a deep understanding of the complex nature of chronic pain and how it affects patients’ lives. Olivia takes an individualized, multimodality approach to help her patients achieve the best possible outcomes. She believes every patient is unique, and their treatment plan should be tailored to their specific needs. Currently, Olivia works as a nurse practitioner at Diagnostic Pain Center, where she continues to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients. She is committed to providing the highest level of care to her patients and continually strives to improve her skills and knowledge through continuing education and professional development opportunities. With her education, certification, and experience, Olivia is a valuable asset to the nursing profession and the DPC team. She is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of her patients.
E. Lindsey Bellinger graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) in December of 2022. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She obtained her second Bachelors of Science in Nursing from UTA and an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Miami Dade College in 2007. Her first Bachelors of Science was obtained at Sam Houston State in 2003, she majored in genetics, graduated Cum Laude, and played college basketball for the Bearkats. She began her nursing career in the emergency room as a trauma nurse in 2008. During this time, she was able to obtain a broad knowledge of patient care as well as assessment skills. She was a dedicated preceptor and educator and enjoyed sharing her vast knowledge of emergency medicine with new nurses to the field. She is an expert in phlebotomy and intravenous access. Her newest passion has become the treatment of chronic pain. She has dedicated her time to continuing education to develop a multimodal approach to pain management. She strives to offer her patients the most up to date procedures and treatments to manage their chronic pain. She takes an extreme interest in the treatment of Chronic Migraines to include specializing in Botox injections for these patients. She spends all her free time with her husband and her 2 children, coaching basketball, softball, and t-ball in the community.
