Jennifer Mitchell received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma. She planned to attend graduate school and become a therapist. However, after much consideration, she decided to become a nurse and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Oklahoma. She spent the next 16 years working as a bedside nurse in the cardiac and medical intensive care units. Eventually, Jennifer felt it was time to move from bedside care. While working with patients and their families during some of the most difficult times in their lives, she was reminded of her passion for mental health. She then obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Arlington and is now a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Jennifer aims to help her patients through both medical and non-medical approaches. She is excited about the options for Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD) which The Costello Clinic has to offer.
