Marc Ettensohn
,
MD

Marc Ettensohn, MD graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency program at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident for the University of Florida Department of Psychiatry. He also completed an ECT fellowship at Emory University and an administrative fellowship at the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. After his training, he became the medical director for the private practice, Actify of South Florida, specializing in the use of intravenous and intranasal ketamine for treatment-resistant anxiety and depressive disorders. Afterwards, he went on to develop his own private practice, Cornerstone Psychiatric Care, which continues to focus on interventional treatment for psychiatric disorders and frequently utilizes ketamine therapy. Part-time, he provides hospital consultation and psychiatric inpatient care. As a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, he serves as an ambassador and committee member for The Board. He is also an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, The Florida Psychiatric Society, and the American Society of Ketamine Physicians. He has coauthored several peer-reviewed papers in the medical literature, describing the use of ketamine for psychiatric disorders, such as Advances in Psychedelic Medicine: State-of-the-Art Therapeutic Applications* and The Rise of Ketamine in Clinical Practice.

Jessica Shepley

Jessica Shepley, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, CRNI is a certified registered infusion nurse and a dual-board-certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her career as a registered nurse in 2006 taking care of patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units and then specializing in infusion therapy for patients with rare chronic illnesses. Since 2016, Jessica has been working in psychiatry alongside Dr. Ettensohn, providing ketamine infusions for patients with many psychiatric conditions, including treatment-resistant depression. She has been responsible for training nurses in accessing the bloodstream through veins, intravenous ketamine administration, and monitoring blood properties. Combining her knowledge from the intensive care unit, infusion care, psychiatry, and family medicine, she has developed the ability to treat her patients not only medically but holistically. Jessica believes that establishing a connection between the nurse and patient is imperative for providing unsurpassed care. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Infusion Nurses Society, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau, the Honor Society of Nursing.

Brett Flanagan

MD, Psychiatrist

Brett Flanagan, MD graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He was a psychiatry resident at University of Florida (UF) and a chief resident in his program. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry. He is certified by Neurostar to perform TMS. He went on to work for East Florida Behavioral Health as an outpatient psychiatrist from 2019-2021. He recently joined Cornerstone Psychiatric Care in July of 2021. He is known for caring and focusing on the patient’s needs, desires, and emotions rather than solely medication management. Sessions typically involve brief therapeutic intervention, including cognitive behavioral therapy. He has extensive knowledge in mood disorders including depression/anxiety/trauma as well as ADHD management. He enjoys going to the Florida beaches, relaxing at parks & restaurants, and spending time with his family both here and in Chicago.

Diane Esposito

DIANE ESPOSITO PHD, APRN, PMHCNS-BC DOCTOR OF PSYCHIATRIC NURSING, NURSE PRACTITIONER Diane Esposito, PhD, APRN, PMHCNS-BC graduated from Bloomsburg University with a BSN in Nursing in 1987, an MSN in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Adelphi University in 1996, and PhD in Nursing from Barry University in 2013. She has worked as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of Florida since 1998 and is ANCC Board Certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Dr. Esposito has served as Education Council Chair of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA), a professional nursing association of over 13,000 members, in 2018 received the Florida Psychiatric Nurse of the Year and in 2019 the Excellence in Education award. Dr. Esposito has served on the Board of Directors for the APNA FL Chapter, as well as for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Palm Beach. Dr. Esposito has presented on a national level on Trauma and Recovery, Mental Health Needs for Athletes as well as topics related to Addiction. Dr. Esposito incorporates a holistic approach in caring for her clients’ mind body and spirit, has completed training in Christian counseling and has served in spiritual healing ministry. Dr. Esposito currently serves as full time faculty in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Jaison Nainaparampil

Jaison Nainaparampil, MD graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his residency training in general psychiatry at the University of Florida (UF). After finishing residency, Dr. Nainaparampil continued training at UF to complete his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. He joined Cornerstone Psychiatric Care in February 2021 to continue his passion of helping those who suffer from mental illness. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is certified in both General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He is also an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and The Florida Psychiatric Society. Dr. Nainaparampil is a staunch advocate of mental health awareness; he facilitated (and performed in) the theatrical production: Inside OCD: I am not my illness. The performance premiered at the Squitieri Studio Theatre in Gainesville, FL and was presented at the 2018 International OCD Foundation Conference in Washington, D.C. and the 2019 American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA. Dr. Nainaparampil believes in holistic and compassionate care, and he frequently utilizes psychotherapy as well as psychotropic medication to ensure the best outcomes for his patients.

Jessica Coote, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, C-EFM, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her career as a registered nurse in 2007 when she took care of pregnant patients in a High-Risk Obstetrical unit. There, she also took on a leadership role as Clinical Care Coordinator over Maternal Child Health. Jessica has a passion for patient care, which is what led her to complete her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University graduate program focusing on patients across the lifespan. She believes strongly in integrating Conventional and Alternative Care Options that focuses on high quality, safe, patient-centered care grounded in holistic health principles. As such, she is a strong supporter of medical freedom and informed consent. Witnessing the overflow and lack of psychiatric care providers, Jessica fell in love with caring for mental-health patients. She recognized the need in the community for carers in the field, and felt a calling from God to serve others and ensure that that underserved population had an ally. Jessica has also trained at a weight-loss clinic in FNP school. Her focus is to practice medicine that focuses on providing individualized care that specializes on finding the root causes of disease. Jessica is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Frontline Doctors, Informed Consent Action Network, and Sigma Theta Tau, the Honor Society of Nursing. She also worked as a front-line Covid-19 healthcare provider. She’s excited to be a part of our practice here at Cornerstone Psychiatric Care, where she can provide quality care to our patients.

Nadine Causey, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a dedicated mental health professional whose journey began at Palm Beach Atlantic University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012. Discovering her passion for mental health, she pursued higher education, achieving a Master of Science in Health Systems and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Psychiatry and Mental Health Nursing in 2023.For several years at Cornerstone Psychiatric Care, Nadine has contributed her expertise to the Ketamine and Spravato clinic. Now, she is thrilled to extend her services to general psychiatry patients. Nadine's approach to mental health is influenced by her fervor for integrative medicine, focusing on holistic healing for the mind, body, and soul.

Christine Moffa is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with a PhD. in Nursing, a Master's Nursing Education, and a BA in psychology. She has both the skill set and the caring that can help drive change. Blending Medication with psychotherapy is her passion. She loves helping people regain their lost motivation and to foster hope. Young adults have a special place in her heart, but all age groups keep her enthusiastic about helping. She also works as an editor at a professional nursing journal and enjoys advancing the science of nursing through this role. While she is open to helping patients of all faiths, she is very knowledgeable in Christianity.

Sophia Wong, LCSW graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Florida with a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and was a member of the Delta Sigma Chapter of the Phi Alpha National Honor Society. Sophia has been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. Her professional repertoire ranges from treating children, adolescents and adults as a behavioral health therapist in inpatient psychiatric units to managing multiple teams of therapists at various hospitals across the Tampa Bay area. Additionally, she is licensed with the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work as a qualified supervisor for clinical social work interns who are training towards licensure. Sophia’s goal in therapy sessions is to provide a safe space for individuals so that they can reduce and manage their anxiety and depression, and successfully navigate work-related stressors and life transitions. Sophia utilizes a blend of strengths-based approaches, solution-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to provide the best outcomes for her clients.

Lynn graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1991 and pursued her profession in various clinical settings, including Psychiatry, Oncology, Infectious Disease, Operating Room, Labor & Delivery, Pediatrics, Neonatal Intensive Care, Trauma, and Emergency Department. She is dedicated to patient care and advancing her 30+ years of nursing experience to specialize in mental health care. She is pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree at Palm Beach Atlantic University and will graduate in 2024. An active member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Lynn always strives to build a trusting patient-provider relationship so that patients can feel at ease. In 2006 Autumn accepted a position as a pool nurse for a community hospital in Oregon, Ohio providing care to medical-surgical, intensive care, vascular, orthopedic surgery, and oncology patients. Through this experience, Autumn found and pursued her passion for infusion nursing through the care of oncology and hospice patients. In order to improve skills and diversify her nursing practice she obtained her chemotherapy/biotherapy certification through Oncology Nursing Society as well as her Michigan Nursing license. She then began working with Northwest Ohio/Southeast Michigan's largest private oncology practice; providing infusion services to 6 different infusion suites across state lines. In 2014, Autumn obtained her Florida nursing license and relocated to the Tampa Bay area to assist in the opening of a rapidly growing Rheumatology infusion clinic combined with Oncology infusion patients; and began to focus on Rheumatology infusion/injection services. Autumn believes taking care of your mental health is imperative to healing. It is her experience that physical and mental health must coexist for anyone's optimal health and function; which is another reason she is passionate about expanding infusion services to treat the patients at Cornerstone Psychiatric Care's Tampa office.
