Heather is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a passion for helping others live a meaningful and joyful life. She focuses on establishing a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients and understands the importance of trust in the patient provider relationship. Heather has been a nurse practitioner for eleven years. After graduating from the University of Arizona's nurse practitioner program in 2010, she began her first NP role in pain management, where she administered ketamine for treatment of severe chronic pain. Her NP experience runs the full spectrum from working in rural critical access hospitals to working in hospice and palliative care. It was her work with veterans at the end of life, helping patients and families through some of the toughest times of their lives, that inspired her to focus on mental health.
