Wade Grindle
,
MD

After graduating from UC Davis with a B.S. in Psychology, Dr. Wade Grindle received his medical degree from the UC San Diego School of Medicine in 1986. He then completed a one year internship, followed by a three year residency in anesthesiology at Scripps Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in San Diego. He has been board-certified in anesthesiology since 1991, and has had a very successful career as an innovative and compassionate physician. He has extensive experience in providing anesthesia for cardiac, neurosurgical, obstetrical, major vascular, orthopedic, and pediatric surgical subspecialties. He served as the Chairman of Anesthesia for four years at his first practice, in the upper Midwest. In 1996 he returned to California, and joined the staff at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage. In addition to anesthesiology, he worked at the Eisenhower Pain Clinic, and in 1998, obtained his second board-certification, in pain management. He left the group at Eisenhower Medical Center in 1999 to go into the full-time solo practice of interventional pain medicine. During his last year on staff at Eisenhower, he was the only physician surgically implanting spinal cord stimulators and intraspinal morphine pumps. In 2001, Dr. Grindle also became the first physician in the region to perform intradiscal coblation nucleoplasty. Dr Grindle’s father, Lincoln, was a a widely-respected eye surgeon in Orange County for over 4 decades, who passionately believed in placing the patient’s best interests foremost. Dr Wade Grindle inherited these core values from his father, and has a reputation as a compassionate physician who takes the time to truly listen to his patients. He treats every patient as a unique individual, and customizes the treatment plan accordingly. In 2005, Dr. Grindle had to take a medical leave of absence due to a severe low back pain problem, and did not practice medicine for several years. While he was rehabilitating his back, he grew spiritually, spent a lot of time with family, did some traveling, began writing a novel, and volunteered at a homeless shelter. When he was ready to practice medicine again, in order to ensure he was up to speed with the current standards of care, he completed the Advanced Track Specialty Program anesthesiology fellowship at UCLA’s Ronald Reagan Medical Center. Subsequently, Dr. Grindle moved to Arizona, and practiced at Valley View Medical Center, where he was elected by his fellow physicians to serve as the Chairman of Surgery, and then the Vice-Chief of Staff. In 2016, he and his wife Sarah moved to Colorado. He is tremendously gratified by his work as the Medical Director and co-founder of Boulder Mind Care and Transcendent Ketamine of Colorado. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, working on a medical novel, swimming, lifting weights, scuba diving, astronomy, and watching the beautiful Colorado sunsets with Sarah.

Sarah Grindle
,
Clinic Administrator and Co-Founder

Co-founder Sarah Grindle is the Clinic Administrator of Boulder Mind Care. She grew up in Seneca Falls, New York. After graduating from high school in Scottsdale, Arizona, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. During her career at UNLV, Sarah served in several administrative positions over 25 years, including as the Business Manager of the Dean of Education’s Office, until she retired from her career at UNLV in 2014. Sarah is widely regarded by our patients as caring and compassionate, an attentive listener who gets to know our patients on a deep, personal level. She is profoundly gratified by restoring the lives of our patients with our Ketamine therapy protocols. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys reading, gardening, making jewelry, welding, yoga, skiing, biking, and hiking. We created Boulder Mind Care in 2017, in response to the dearth of solutions to the severe depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain, alcohol abuse, opiate addiction, and suicide which have afflicted our society. Since the advent of the coronavirus pandemic, the devasting consequences of these problems are more severe than ever. Thus we recently opened our second Ketamine Infusion Therapy practice, Transcendent Ketamine of Colorado, in Fort Collins. We are both excited and gratified to humbly bring this revolutionary breakthrough in mental health to the Front Range of Northern Colorado, from Boulder to Fort Collins.

About

It is not always a good idea to choose the lowest bidder. Certainly, when you are talking about your mental health, you should choose a provider who will take care of you as if you were family. At Boulder Mind Care, we have a strict moral code, and will care for you as we would want ourselves or our loved ones cared for. Read some of the testimonials on our website to see how our approach is received by our patients. The mother of one of our patients, a high school student with severe depression, had this to say: “The saying ‘you get what you pay for’ applies to Ketamine therapy too. It is worth every penny to receive such great care.” From 2017, when we first opened our doors as the first Ketamine Infusion Therapy practice in Boulder, our mission has been to provide the highest possible quality of care, comfort, and therapeutic efficacy. We believe in evidence-based, state-of-the-art, individualized care. You will always have a private room and serene setting with us. We do not overbook or rush our sessions with you. We treat you as the unique, individual human being that you are, not a widget.
