Chelsie Monroe is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Balanced Mental Wellness in Englewood, Colorado. She has over 12 years of experience and has treated thousands of patients with complex psychiatric illnesses. She has worked in a psychiatric emergency services, jail, prison, and outpatient private practice settings. She specializes in complex PTSD, trauma, and addictions – and became passionate about integrative psychiatry, where she became board-certified as an Integrative Psychiatric provider. Chelsie is an expert Ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP) and believes that KAP bridges the psychospiritual gap in healthcare and facilitates a journey home to authentic self. She is trained in psychedelic assisted therapies and uses additional approaches of Internal Family Systems therapy, Emotions Focused therapy, parts work, existential and Gestalt psychology, as well as psychodynamic therapies in her work and is a national speaker for various psychopharmacology and therapy topics. Chelsie is also an adjunct faculty at the University of Colorado, College of Nursing.
Christine Campbell is an experienced nurse with over 30 years of patient experience, and newly licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She is especially interested in working with the underserved, PTSD, and Veteran populations. Chris is trained in a variety of therapy modalities, and incorporates a strong foundation of therapy in every session. Chris currently accepts Telehealth patients only.
arla is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, earning her degree from the University of Colorado. She has worked in the mental health field for over 14 years with the bulk of her experience in emergency psychiatry. She is enthusiastic to now be caring for patients on an outpatient basis and looks forward to developing longer term therapeutic relationships. Marla specializes in medication management for adults age 18+ with a range of mental health issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, bipolar, schizophrenia, ADHD, and addictions. She believes in evidence-based care that is individualized and tailored to the specific needs of her clients. Her goal is to provide care that is collaborative and person-centered. Outside of her practice, Marla enjoys camping, skiing, time with her dogs, and live music.
Suzanne Hanle is a masters-prepared Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and DNP student at the University of Colorado-Anschutz. Through experiences as a Cardiac Nurse at the VA hospital and a Psychiatric Nurse at Denver Health, Suzanne has cultivated a passion for trauma-focused and holistic medicine, striving to heal the mind, body, and spirit in unison. Suzanne applies solution-focused therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in her practice and has received training in psychedelic assisted therapy administration and treatment. She is one of our Ketamine practitioners. Her hobbies include running, hiking, cooking, and reading.
Char has over 30 years of experience in a variety of healing modalities. While working as a chiropractic assistant and pursuing a career in massage therapy over thirty years ago, she found a deep compassion for people’s suffering and a desire for helping improve their quality of life. This led to a career in psychotherapy, and Char found a way to blend body work with traditional therapy. Over the years, Char has immersed herself in her own healing path using a wide variety of methods from many different teachers, which she also brings to her work. This includes the inner child work of John Bradshaw, challenging beliefs with Bryon Katie, self-compassion with Kristen Neff and many others. It is Char’s heartfelt desire that each individual remember their inherent wholeness and health and she looks for any opportunity to bassist them in this process. Char brings empathic presence and acceptance, is open to a range of emotional experiences, and has a deep trust in the healing process. Char is trained in Somatic Trauma Resolution therapy as a therapist and instructor, Internal Family Systems therapy, Compassionate Inquiry and Trauma Touch therapy.
Karin holds a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (PsyD), a Master of Arts degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy (MA). She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and a Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP). She also holds a certification in clinical supervision (ACS). She is trained in Hakomi, a specific somatic approach to psychotherapy, and Brainspotting, a treatment approach for trauma. Additionally, Karin is an experienced yoga teacher, E-RYT-500, with over 1000 hours of formal training, is a Certified iRest Teacher from the Integrative Restoration Institute, which utilizes the technique of yoga nidra to delve deeply into the psyche in a safe and tranquil way. Karin maintains a well-established personal practice grounded in the rich tradition of non-dual philosophies arising from the East, like Buddhism and Yoga, which emphasis mindfulness and compassion. Karin works in Spanish or English, addressing emotional and/or physical trauma, depression and anxiety. She also enjoys mentoring new professionals, offers clinical supervision and teaches psychotherapy at Naropa University.
Haley Bomal is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a graduate degree from the University of Colorado-Anschutz. Her experience as a psychiatric RN, both locally and in the travel setting, has fostered her devotion to serve adults and adolescents with various mental and behavioral health challenges. She promotes a person-centered approach with the use of shared decision making, solution-focused therapy, and intention-setting to assist clients on their individualized journey to healing. Additionally, she is trained in ketamine assisted therapy administration and treatment and is one of our ketamine practitioners. She prides herself on giving back to her community through volunteer opportunities. Her other hobbies include skiing, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
