Steven is a Nurse Anesthetist certified by the Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists who has extensive experience in providing anesthesia in all areas of the hospital throughout Texas. He also has significant experience with administration of Ketamine as it is incorporated into every area of his practice due to the value Ketamine provides clients. Steven received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from California Baptist University, his Master of Science degree in Nursing Anesthesia from Texas Wesleyan University, and is currently in process of achieving his Master in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.
Dr. Tou is a board-certified anesthesiologist and Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserves. He has over 10 years of clinical experience and has served overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. As a soldier and physician, he understands the importance of mental health services to our community. Dr. Tou was born and raised in Texas and is married with two children.
Amber was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, wreck em’! She is married and is having her first baby in July. Amber is certified and licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is credentialed through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has been in the medical field for over 8 years mostly working in the Intensive Care Unit. Her passion as a nurse practitioner is to help people live their life to the fullest while feeling their best mentally and physically. When she is not working Amber enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 dogs and loves to travel.
Abby was born and raised in the Dallas area (go Cowboys!), and graduated from the University of Arkansas (Woo Pig Sooie!) with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. A year later, she discovered her true passion for nursing and went back to school for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. Since then, she has worked in the Intensive Care areas for several different hospitals in the area. Abby is so excited to be part of the Avalyn team. She has a passion for medicine, science, and wellness of the mind and body. She wants to be a shining light for each person that comes into her life and radiate JOY in everything she does! Abby has an amazing husband, and they are expecting their first baby this fall. She also enjoys spending time at the lake with her family and their two dogs.
Ali was raised in the Fort Worth area and went to school at Abilene Christian University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2018. Ali has been involved in many different aspects of health care from student athletic training in college to spending the last 5 years as a nurse in the Emergency Department. Ali strives to make sure her patients are comfortable, valued and feel safe. She has a passion for mental health, learning more about holistic and integrative medicine and advocating for women’s health. When she is not working, Ali enjoys trying new coffee shops, going for walks and spending time with her family and friends.
Jessica was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Texas in 2018 with her husband, daughter, and three Labrador retrievers. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California Baptist University and will graduate in the Fall of 2023 with her Master degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has been in the healthcare field for over 15 years, working the last 7 years in the Intensive Care Unit. Jessica is passionate about high quality, safe client care. She is also passionate about breaking the stigma around mental illness and getting patients access to the healthcare services they need. When Jessica isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Brian is an alumnus of the University of Texas at Dallas where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He was born in Southern California and has resided in the DFW Metroplex since 2012. Brian was born to a deaf mother and his immersion in deaf culture at a young age built the foundation of his interpersonal skills and desire to connect with people. He takes pride in tackling the challenges that others try to avoid and is energized by the problems that seem the most daunting. He believes in continual process improvement which has yielded an extensive record of exceptional client experiences.
Dante has over 14 years of field experience in the customer service, marketing, and sales industries. He ensures that clients' needs are prioritized to help them achieve their goals while guaranteeing high quality services. Dante takes the time to explore, strategize, and personalize the best available options for his clients to create a simple and quick plan of action without compromising effectiveness. In addition, Dante's personal experience caring for family with mental health needs allows him to understand the related challenges and the importance of patience, awareness, and advocacy. By combining his personal and professional experience along with outside-the-box thinking and strong communication skills, Dante seeks to not only meet but to also protect and care for clients' needs
