Having watched many loved ones and close friends suffer from the incapacitating effects of depression and anxiety, Dr. Foster felt compelled to act. He established Austin Ketamine Specialists with the intention of making safe and effective ketamine therapy accessible to patients facing a wide variety of conditions. After serving his country as a member of the US Air Force, Dr. Foster attended Harvard for his undergraduate degree. Recognizing that the modern approach to medicine might be improved upon, he attended Touro University Osteopathic Medicine in California where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. This program allowed him to focus on cultivating an integrative and holistic approach to patient care. Dr. Foster then went on to complete his residency in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City. Although he was born and raised in Montana, Dr. Foster has called Texas home since 2011. He is a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician and has worked at emergency rooms throughout the state of Texas. This experience has allowed him to meet and work with individuals from all walks of life, helping him to develop the compassionate and judgment-free approach to care that he has fostered at both clinics. Today, his passion for helping his patients achieve the most fulfilling and wholesome life they possibly can is what propels him and his practice. He truly believes that everyone deserves the chance to live a life unburdened by mental health disorders and chronic pain. Dr. Foster believes that healing is possible, and he is honored by the opportunity to help heal his community.
Sarah, a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, hails from Pennsylvania but has proudly called Austin home for over 12 years. Her extensive background in emergency medicine was where her journey with ketamine began. Witnessing the remarkable positive changes in patients after ketamine administration, she was inspired to make a greater impact on the mental health of her patients. With an insatiable passion for learning, Sarah recently embarked on a journey at The Nickerson Institute of Holistic Coaching. She firmly believes that this new endeavor will empower her to provide comprehensive support to her clients, addressing their mental, physical, and spiritual needs. Driven by her belief in the transformative potential of Ketamine and her desire to raise awareness, Sarah established the website KetamineAndMore.com. She dedicates 50% of the profits to support those in need. During her free time, you’ll often find her scaling the rock walls at Reimers, running around Town Lake, or simply enjoying the comforts of her home with her family.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and have worked with clients for close to a decade, through private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and groups. My experience includes: couples with children with special needs, couples working through issues involving infidelity or infertility, couples requiring help with communication, physical and emotional intimacy, pre-marital counseling, divorce, and any other issues that might arise in the midst of a relationship/partnership. I also work with individuals dealing with issues related to anxiety and/or depression, life transitions (“lifequakes”), postpartum mood disorders, job interview skills and communication, issues related to the work environment, sports performance, and much more. I have completed advanced training in Gottman Couples Therapy, Certification as an anxiety specialist, and Certification as a tele/video-mental health provider. I have also worked with individual clients receiving Ketamine Infusion treatments. I want my clients to know that I believe that therapy involves a collaboration between the client/s and the therapist. If a client is not part of the decisions, the ideas, the relationship, and the motivation, achieving the desired change is much more difficult. I understand that being in a long term relationship of any kind (partnership, friendship, family relationship) can be difficult and I believe that everyone needs help navigating the obstacles that we are bound to encounter within relationships and life. I love being a part of that process. My role as a therapist is to collaborate with, empathize with, support, understand, and encourage my clients. I do this through face to face therapy as well as through distance therapy.
